During my work on my expo about Thessaloniki, I see a stamp on cover cancel BEFORE the date of his overprint as description said in Hellas catalog.
Did I find something interesting for postal history ?

Does the envelope have arrival cancel in the back?

As you see the year of the arriving cancel is 1939 so there is something wrong in the departure cancel
